Schon am Anfang gibt er ganz offen zu, dass seine jüngsten Äußerungen reine Promotion für Postal waren, da das Werbe-Budget sehr niedrig war. Obwohl er später die Kollegen auch nicht unbedingt lobt. Er scheint sich mit den erfolgreicheren Kollegen durchaus gleichwertig zu sehen, nur dass er schlechtere Chancen hat, weil er keine Millionen-Deals mit den Studios hat...

In dem Zusammenhang möchte ich erwähnen, dass ich bei "Alone In The Dark" nach ca. 10 Minuten abgeschalten hab und dann doch lieber ins Bett gegangen bin. Meine Freundin hat das mit "Kanal Telemedial" verglichen, das wäre angeblich ebenso absurd...

Es gibt auch Regisseure die mit wenig Geld gut Filme zusammenkriegen. Aber für Actionfilme, wie sie Boll machen will brauch man natürlich auch etwas mehr Geld.

Kommt drauf an. Underworld hat zB auch nur 22 Millionen Dollar gekostet und der schaut IMHO echt klasse aus.
Andererseit bin ich irgendwie ein Fan von diesen Boll-Filmen. Phasenweise sind die wirklich extrem unterhaltsam.
Ein besonderes Highlight sind immer wieder seine Regiekommentare. Normalerweise höre ich mir die ja eher selten an, bei ihm sind die aber wirklich lustig. Vor allem wenn er über Schauspieler und dergleichen herzieht. Tara Reid hat er bei Alone in the Dark ziemlich runtergemacht.
Ein besonderes Schmankerl sind seine englischen Regiekommentare bei den US-DVDs. Mich wundert, dass die Leute in Hollywood Uwe Boll mit seinem deutschen Akzent überhaupt verstehen können.
House of the Dead fand ich echt gut, weil er einfach extrem trashig war. Der erste Bloodrayne-Teil war auch ganz nett, genauso wie Alone in the Dark. Eher mies (weil recht fad, unblutig und mit gar keinem bzw. wenig Sex) waren dafür Dungeon Siege und Bloodrayne 2 (hoffentlich wird der dritte Teil wieder besser - da sollen ja dann endlich die Nazis mitspielen dürfen).

Ganz schlecht ist übrigens Seed von Uwe Boll. Der ist nicht mal grauslich.

Tja, ich hab es dann doch nicht geschafft, Far Cry im Kino zu sehen (sonst jemand?). Ist vermutlich auch nicht so schlimm, zumal der für eine 16er-Fregabe gekürzt wurde. Auf DVD wird er wohl uncut kommen. Nicht, dass ich ihn unbedingt kaufen würde.
