Um den Entwicklern einen höheren Anteil geben zu können, stellt GOG seine Fair-Price-Package ein (bisher bekam man von GOG die Differenz aus Preis und tatsächlicher Dollar-Umrechnung erstattet, was im Schnitt 12% Ermäßigung ausgemacht hat). Die Konkurrenz durch Epic führt also i.d.F. zu höheren Preisen für die User.

GOG scheint ein paar finanzielle Probleme zu haben, aber ich weiß nicht, ob das jetzt an Epic liegt.

Phoenix Point, per Crowdfunding finanziert, dort mit Steam-&GOG-Keys beworben und jetzt Epic-exklusiv. Und, welch Wunder, viele Backer finden das gar nicht lustig.

Äh, ich musste erstmal googlen was Phoenix Point überhaupt ist. Ich wusste zwar das der Typ der X-Com "erfunden" hat (=Julian Gollop) an einem neuen Spiel arbeitet, hatte mir aber den Namen nicht gemerkt.

Tja, wenn Epic mit dem großen Geldkoffer winkt. :roll:
Da kann ich verstehen das die Backer sauer sind. Und letzten Endes ist Phoenix Point damit ein weiteres abschreckendes Beispiel für Crowdfunding.

Mal schauen was die langfristigen Folgen, nachdem der ganze Frust bei Twitter etc. abgeflaut ist, für Phoenix Point sind.

Laut eigener Aussage könnten alle backer das Spiel refunden und sie würden finanziell noch immer besser dastehen als zuvor.

Aber wieso epic sich wegen eines solchen Spiels negative Schlagzeilen aufbürdet, verstehe ich überhaupt nicht. Das interessiert doch bis auf ein paar hardcore-Fans niemanden.

Epic bringt die bisher Playstation-exklusiven Spiele von Quantic Dream - Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, Detroit: Become Human - in seinen Store. Das ist mal eine Überraschung!
Und ein paar weitere Titel haben sie sich auch noch geschnappt. Darunter Control von Remedy und The Outer Worlds von Obsidian (für 1 Jahr).

Jep. Auch wenn sie mich jetzt nicht mehr interessieren. Aber vielleicht kommen dann zukünftige PS-Titel zeitnäher? Das wäre dann wirklich mal ein Punkt, der für Epic spricht.

The Outer Worlds ist übrigens nicht wirklich exklusiv, das gibts auch im Microsoft Store. Na gut, der ist keine echte Alternative ;)

Und: Es werden nun auch über Humble Keys verkauft.

Ach, warum denn nicht? Heavy Rain habe ich vor drei Jahren gespielt und Beyond noch vor mir. Detroit ist ja sogar noch recht neu. Die sind wie Telltale-Spiele in guter Grafik. ;-)
Wobei ich zugeben muss, dass so ein interaktiver Film auf der Couch doch gemütlicher ist als am Bürostuhl. Und die Steuerung nutzt ja auch die Bewegungssensoren des PlayStation-Controllers. Aber das kann man sicher auf andere Eingaben mappen bei der Konvertierung.

Das ist kein Problem: Hinter meinem Bürostuhl ist eine Couch. So habe ich z.B. die Telltale-Spiele gemütlich per Gamepad gespielt.

Rage 2, Doom etc erscheinen nun doch nicht wie angekündigt exklusiv für den Bethesda-Launcher, sondern auf Steam. Entweder das ist die Konsequenz aus dem Megaflop Fallout 76, oder auch Steam hat jetzt angefangen mit Geld um sich zu werfen...

Na da bin ich ja mal gespannt, wie "mega" das sein wird angesichts von noch nichtmal 50 Spielen im Store :lol: Aber gut, wenns was interessantes für 10€ gibt...
