Hehe, das ist ähnlich wie die "10 Seiten RPG-Special" der PCG. Das sind 6 zu Divinity (4 Preview + 2 Interview) und 4 Seiten Überblick über andere kommende Spiele.

Wieder mal so wenige Tests... Im Editorial wird bedauert, dass es Full Throttle Remastered, Little Nightmares, Syberia 3 und Outlast 2 nicht mehr ins Heft geschafft haben. Online gab es diese Tests glaube ich schon alle am letzten Samstag, als ich die Ausgabe im Briefkasten hatte. Es gibt noch einen Vortest zu Dragon Quest Heroes 2, aber diesmal ohne Wertung(stendenz) - aus Embargogründen, Wertung gibt's natürlich auch online.
Warum lese ich ein Printheft? Ach, ich kann mich einfach von manchen Traditionen nicht trennen...

Na ja, immerhin scheint Dawn of War 3 das geworden zu sein, was ich mir erhofft habe, auch wenn im Test erstaunlich viele gravierend klingende Kritikpunkte genannt werden für die hohe Wertung. Und so wie ich die Serie kenne, wird es noch reichlich DLCs mit weiteren spielbaren Völkern geben. Also warte ich noch ein bisschen. Witzig finde ich die Geschichte mit Bayonetta. Am 1. April erschien das kostenlose "8-Bit Bayonetta" auf Steam, inkl. versteckter Hinweise auf einen PC-Release des Originals, und keine zwei Wochen später war er da! Der besondere Gag aus meiner Sicht: Bayonetta war eins der Spiele, wegen denen ich mir doch noch eine Konsole der letzten Generation geholt habe. Aufgrund des großen PC-Backlogs geht es mit dem Nachholen von PS3-Spielen aber langsam voran und Bayonetta steht erst seit letztem Weihnachten im Regal - noch ungeöffnet. Jetzt könnte ich es auch über Steam am PC spielen, was ich eigentlich bevorzugen würde. Aber ist jetzt auch egal. Allerdings gibt es Gerüchte, dass als nächstes Spiel von Platinum Games auch Vanquish umgesetzt wird. Und da das ein Shooter ist, würde ich den eh nur am PC spielen. Das wäre also nett.

Also TotalBiscuit war extrem enttäuscht und hat es ziemlich verrissen: Es versuche einen Mittelweg zwischen DoW 1 und 2, sei dabei weder Fisch noch Fleisch und letzten Endes klar schwächer als die beiden Vorgänger. Dazu sei die Kampagne nur "a glorified tutorial".

Ich kenne neben dem PCG-Test bisher nur den Testvergleich deutscher Magazine bei GG und die sind alle im 80er-Bereich und die Zitate klingen nach dem, was ich wollte. Mit dem zweiten Teil konnte ich nämlich gar nichts anfangen, während der erste echt großartig war. Jetzt gibt es Basisbau und Heldeneinheiten, klingt doch super. Und endlich eine Kampagne, in der man alle Völker speilen kann (auch wenn drei Parteien im Grundspiel weniger sind als in den Vorgängern).

Nunja, bei Steam steht es auch nur bei miserablen 54%. Keine Ahnung, was da die deutschen Magazine getestet haben...

Es ist also irgendwas zwischen "Schrott" und "super"? Sehr aussagekräftig ;)

Bei RPS kam es relativ gut weg und nachdem mit einem Patch das nervige Ressourcenmanagement entschärft wurde, klingt es eigentlich definitiv nach einem Spiel, das man sich mal in einem Sale zulegen kann.

Der Redakteur schreibt auch selbst, dass er noch nie eine so ungenaue Tendenz abgeben musste. In der Vorabversion war das Balancing noch nicht final, deswegen wusste man nicht, wie frustrierend das wirklich werden kann... Im Online-Test ist es die goldene Mitte, also die 75 geworden.
Und mit dem neuesten Patch wurde auch ein "Easy Mode" eingebaut, weil es wohl in der ersten Fassung doch recht knackig geworden ist.

Viel Jubiläum ist übrigens nicht in der Ausgabe. Abgesehen von den vier Vollversionen gibt es nur ein "Best of Rossis Rumpalkammer" (die LEserbriefecke und Kolumne mit Rainer Rosshirt, die seit er Erstausgabe dabei ist) im Extended-Teil. Die Begründung ist allerdings plausibel: In zwei Monaten wird schon 25jähriges gefeiert! Das ist echt krass, meine erste PC Games war die mit dem 10jährigen Jubiläum...
Also die Feier-Ausgabe nehme ich noch mit, aber dann wird mein Abo gekündigt. Das Niveau hat einfach zu sehr abgenommen. Ob ich dann auf die GameStar umsteige oder gar kein Print mehr lese, weiß ich noch nicht so recht. Muss mir noch ein, zwei GS-Ausgaben angucken, hat nur im Sommerloch nicht so viel Sinn. Da fällt mir ein, die müssten doch auch demnächst 20jähriges haben...
