es handelt es sich (soweit ich das verstanden habe) um ein javascript, mit dem mozilla nicht klar kommt. ich kann den link zwar verwenden und in einem neuen tab öffnen, zusätzlich wird die seite aber auch im hauptfenster geöffnet - nicht sehr praktisch.

Das Namen anklicken ging die ganze zeit. Was in der Übersichtsseite weggelassen wurde, war doch nur, dass man auch den Hintergrund anklicken konnte, wie es in den einzelnen Foren geht. Das ist wirklich nicht so wichtig. Aber das man den Namen anklicken konnte, war schon angenehm. Also, warum kann man das nicht wiederherstellen?

Das wirst du nicht tun! Vorher ist das CMS eingeführt, das neue Layout fertig, die alten Logs ausgewertet, der Server Reset-sicher und überhaupt hat sich die ganze Welt zum Guten gewendet.

PS: Der Mailversand MUSS auf Localinjection stehen. Das hatten wir doch schonmal ausprobiert. Weiß jetzt nicht, warum du's wieder auf SMTP gesetzt hast.
Hm irgendeinen Grund gab es da. Kann sein das es mit dem fehlerhaften Sessionmanagment im 2.0.4 zusammenhing. Daran es im 2.0.6 abzuschalten hatte ich zuerst gar nicht mehr gedacht.

Nein das Problem gab es schon als das Forum noch auf dem Hochschulserver lag.
Da hatte ich es dadurch verhindern können, indem ich einfach die Fehlermeldung im Quelltext auskommentiert habe (brachte an sich keine Nachteile mit sich ist aber keine Lösung).
Ich hatte damals schon nach ner Lösung gesucht und mitbekommen, dass es auch bei anderen Foren passiert. Es konnte dann auf die "Benachrichtigung bei Antwort" Funktionalität eingegrenzt werden (ist aber nicht 100%ig sicher) aber ein wirklicher Grund war nicht ersichtlich.
